We went here for our anniversary, we made brunch reservations on a Sunday morning. Everything was excellent. The waitress went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was amazing and drinks were as well. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The architecture of this building is absolutely stunning. We will definitely be back to try out their dinner menu.

Very cool to have a nice dinner in a historical cathedral. The food was of great quality. Ordered the Smoked Gouda Tenderloin Penne and the Rock Salt Roasted Prime Rib. Both entrees were perfect and our waitress was very personable and nice. The over all experience was worth the visit. Will say for a dinner for 2 our total was $112 with tax so a little spendy but worth it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Freemason Abbey Restaurant is a unique dining experience with an incredible atmosphere and rich history. The building itself is beautiful, and the charm of the interior really adds to the overall experience. I especially appreciated that the menu shares the history of the building—it’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to read. Service was good overall, although it was a bit slow at times. From the bar, I ordered the Oddfellow Fashioned, and it was excellent—well-balanced and very enjoyable. If you’re looking for a restaurant with character, history, and a great ambiance, Freemason Abbey is worth a visit.

Freemason Abbey Restaurant is a true Norfolk gem! The historic church setting creates a unique and beautiful atmosphere that makes the dining experience feel special from the moment you walk in. The architecture and ambiance are absolutely stunning. The food was excellent, with generous portions and great flavor in every dish. The She-Crab Soup was a standout, and the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. Whether you’re a local or visiting Norfolk, this is a must-visit restaurant for great food, history, and an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Went here for their March madness , all night happy hour specials this month. It was mainly due to distance and because I’d always been curious about happy hour here! I went around 6 and thought it’d be packed but it was a moderate amount of people and I sat myself at the bar. A server quickly gave me a regular menu. When the bartender arrived , he greeted me warmly and I asked for a happy hour menu. I choose to start with the orange sour whiskey and the calamari. I wasn’t disappointed and finished both quickly! Decided to get the smash burger per the bartender recommendation after. It was bigger than I expected which I wasn’t upset at with the price. More of a ‘regular’ burger than a ‘smash’ one but good in taste nonetheless. Ended up taking leftovers. Probably wont go back by myself or often as the crowd was too conservative for me…. Service was great and good to try for a treat if you’re in the downtown area. The vintage architecture is also amazing and a must see if you’re a history lover like me.
